What were the challenges you were trying to solve?

Our key challenge was finding a system that would provide instant and reliable desktop messaging across our entire system.

Why did you choose Notify?

I had implemented Notify at another hospital years ago. It was a great product then and continues to be superior in delivering critical messages in a timely manner, at a lower cost than its competition. Overall, we are very pleased with the product and currently have 5000 Notify licenses. This is my second implementation of Notify at two different hospitals. I would highly recommend it to any organization that is looking for an easy to use, reliable, instant desktop notification system.

How is the software currently being used in your organization?

Notify is being used throughout our hospital and healthcare system as a communications tool for IT related functions, such as system downtime notifications and updates. Notify is also used a pivotal instrument for hospital-wide emergency awareness situations like Code Bravo. We appreciate the fact that the delivery of such important messages is instant to the desktops – no waiting, and that we are able to capture such data as acknowledgments of the messages.

How/where has Notify added value?

The system is extremely easy to use and train staff on the ability to send alerts. Having the option to schedule the delivery of the messages is great as well.

Commercial Catering Spare Case Study

June 14th, 2021 by

Tell us a bit about Commercial Catering Spares…

Commercial Catering Spares has been selling spare parts for everything you can find in a commercial kitchen for the past 22 years, to engineers and service companies. Our office in Heywood currently serves as base for 70+ staff members and our head office is in Munich, Germany.

What challenges were you trying to solve before you purchased Notify?

We use several pieces of software that require the users to be logged out of the program, to run certain routines. We’d have to run around the office and warehouse telling people to log out because they’ve not seen the email that was sent 10 minutes ago. This process can sometimes take upwards of 30 minutes.

Why did you choose Notify?

I chose Notify because it really does fill a gap in the market and is so easy to install and integrate into our network – with the MSI installer able to be deployed with Group Policies, allowing for a silent install. It puts a big box over everything my users are doing, ensuring prompt action is taken. My process of getting users to log out can now be done in just a few minutes.

How is it being used in your organization?

We mostly use it to get users out of programs, but more recently it’s fast replacing my team having to send out emails because we are able to target teams of users or even individual users, ensuring prompt action is attained from the end users.

How and where has it added value for you?

The software is invaluable to us as a company. It has shortened a process that used to take 30 minutes plus, into just a few minutes. From an IT Team’s point of view, the ability to see who has read the message comes in very useful when needing to escalate issues, because we know exactly who is aware at all times.

Would you recommend Notify?

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Notify to any organization. It’s a great piece of software.

What were the challenges you were trying to solve?

Our only method of communicating with networked users previously was with e-mail. This was not a reliable method and often involved over-communicating with users who were not in the building at the time required. Therefore we needed a solution which was effective and efficient.

Why did you choose Notify?

The product deployed very easily and without any disruption to users. The first they were aware of it was when the first message popped up! The product is not over-engineered – it does what we need and keeps things simple.

How is the software currently being used in your school?

We are able to send instant communications direct to desktops without filling up e-mail inboxes unnecessarily, as the messages from Notify pop up on the screens and must be acknowledged before they disappear, ensuring the user has seen it.

How/where has Notify added value?

The help from the support staff was friendly, helpful and efficient.

My view of Notify:

We were looking for a solution that would be great for sending notifications to our users in the court. We chose Notify because we found that it was so easy to deploy and use – more so than most other software of its kind.

We use Notify for emergency notifications in the event of adverse weather or active shooter situations. We use it internally to send notifications out to let staff know things such as the office closing early, any problems with email, or system issues.
